Fuji Rock is always a highlight of Japan’s summer, and this year we decided to switch things up—and it made all the difference.

Instead of booking an overpriced accommodation far from the venue or squeezing into crowded trains with all our luggage, we rented a Mori campervan from Roam and Roll Campervan. It was the perfect solution: comfortable, convenient, and there are ample of space for us and our friends to sprawl out and retreat after a day of partying.

The Mori campervan was thoughtfully designed—spacious enough for two of us to sleep comfortably, with plenty of room for our gear. We also rented a Snow Peak tent and a portable battery bank, which made the experience even better. The tent became our chill-out spot during the day, sturdy and shaded. The battery bank kept our phones charged, powered our fan, and let us run small lights at night.

One of our favorite moments was being able to make morning coffee with the gas stove in the van. Just us, a hot cup of coffee, and the mountain air before the music started.

What really surprised us was how stress-free everything felt. We didn’t need to worry about catching shuttle buses or dealing with big crowds. No lottery accommodations. No overpriced hotels. No need to drag our own gear from home either—Roam and Roll Campervan provided everything we needed, including camping chairs and a torchlight.

After long days of music, dancing, and rain, being able to return to a warm, dry van felt like a luxury. It was our own cozy retreat, just steps away from the festival.

The whole rental process was smooth from start to finish, and the Roam and Roll Campervan team made everything easy. If you’re heading to Fuji Rock—or any other festival in Japan—renting a campervan is the way to go. We’re already planning next year’s trip.
